Triplets score practical test hat-trick

Three 17-year-old siblings have pulled the rabbit out of the flat cap this week, all passing their practical tests first time. The tests, which took place over the course of two weeks due to booking schedule differences, were all a success for Dan, Melissa and Rebecca Lewis, who are proud to abandon their L-plates en masse after less than a year taking lessons.

What’s more, their proud parents have rewarded them in the best possible way – by buying all three a car each.

Triplets can be a major expense for parents, but never more so than in this situation. But both Sarah and Andrew Lewis have said the cost was worth it to save them having to ferry their kids around all the time.

Middle-child Melissa had to wait 2 weeks longer than her brother and sister before passing, and in that time was constantly begging for lifts which were, in the nature of siblings, frequently denied. It was therefore a relief to all when she completed the set by passing first time.

The biggest relief, though, was for Mr Lewis. Having been forced to sell his beloved car  for a more practical model when the triplets were originally born, he’s since been able to invest in a ‘proper’ car once more.
